The 10-year Trend of Common Cancers Incidence in Patients Registered in a Referral Hospital of Tehran from 2007 to 2016

Abstract

Introduction: Common cancers such as colon, breast, and lung cancer, are now often increasing in developing countries. This study was conducted to determine the 10-year trends and changes of common cancers in patients from a referral hospital of Tehran.
Methods: This study was performed cross-sectional. The study population included patients’ cancers of the colon, stomach, lung, prostate, and breast who had been registered at the Cancer Center of a referral hospital of Tehran from April 1, 2007 to the end of March in 2016 (N=4472). The criteria for selecting participants were definitive diagnosis of cancer with age between 15 and 75 years.
Data entered the SPSS (version18) software and analysis was carried out using the Time series analysis and Scatter IO graph.
